We had a fun weekend putting together packages for our launch next week! We are super excited to introduce Do Gooders, a social enterprise that helps not-for-profit organizations in the Okanagan.
We know things have been difficult for many charities and not-for-profit organizations. Covid has impacted many of them as they try to pursue their missions during this pandemic. Covid has impacted their staff, volunteers, donors, clients, and how they deliver their work. Some are finding more is being asked of them as social isolation and stress has intensified mental health issues. Gatherings are prevented so many organizations are going into their second year without funding they generated through event-based fundraising and many of their volunteers are staying home to reduce their chances of catching Covid. Not for profit staff are most likely already working at maximum capacity as there has always been an expectation from many funders for them to keep their administrative costs low.
