The Recreation Infrastructure Program invests in the development, upgrade, and repair of recreational facilities that strengthen communities and boost local pride. From arenas and gymnasiums to golf courses, boat launches, and sports fields, the program supports projects that enhance quality of life, attract and retain residents, and create opportunities for sport tourism. Funding is available for both new construction and improvements to existing infrastructure.
The Community Places Program provides funding to support the creation, restoration, or enhancement of public spaces that bring people together and improve quality of life. Whether it’s upgrading a local park, renovating a community hall, or building new shared amenities, eligible projects must be inclusive, community-focused, and accessible to all—not restricted to private membership or exclusive use.
Bell Let’s Talk is committed to building a Canada where everyone can access the mental health support they need. Through its Community Fund, Bell has partnered with over 1,500 organizations across the country—including hospitals, universities, research institutions, and grassroots community groups—to enhance mental health services and resources. The fund supports programs that improve access to care, reduce stigma, and promote mental well-being for individuals and families in diverse communities.
Agricultural Clean Technology (ACT) Program aims to create an enabling environment for the development and adoption of clean technology that will help drive the changes required to achieve a low-carbon economy and promote sustainable growth in Canada’s agriculture and agri-food sector. The Research and Innovation Stream will support pre-market innovation, including research, development, demonstration and commercialization activities, to develop transformative clean technologies and enable the expansion of current technologies, in 3 priority areas: Green energy and energy efficiency, Precision agriculture and Bioeconomy.
The primary objective of these grants is to provide financial support for both new and existing parks, recreation, and culture programs throughout British Columbia. RFBC evaluates each application based on four key areas, giving equal weight to participation, impact, design, and budget. They assess whether the program reaches a significant portion of the community, the level of impact it will have, the strength of the program plan, and whether the organization can make the program work even if full funding from RFBC is not achieved.

Their focus areas include enhancing community access, promoting financial literacy, and supporting mental well-being, all aimed at fostering positive, lasting impact in the communities they serve.
Capacity Grants are designated funds designed to help organizations enhance their internal capabilities. These grants support projects focused on team development, leadership training, and infrastructure improvements. Eligible projects may include leadership and volunteer training, governance consulting, strategic and organizational planning, internal workshops, and infrastructure upgrades (such as office equipment).
Impact Grants are unrestricted funds available to organizations whose purpose is to improve people’s capacity and ability to care for themselves and their families, organizations that teach new skills, build individual resiliency, and/or foster an approach to an individual’s self-sufficiency. Impact Grants are for charities whose purpose aligns with one of the following Sustainable Development Goals: No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Heath & Well-being, Quality Education, Reduced Inequalities, Partnerships for the Goals.

The Community Facility Enhancement Program (CFEP) Large stream offers between $125,000 and $1 million in funding to support the upgrade, expansion, purchase, or construction of public-use community facilities. This includes spaces dedicated to arts, culture, heritage, recreation, sports, and other initiatives that foster vibrant, inclusive communities across Alberta.

BC Hydro’s Community ReGreening Program supports the planting of trees and vegetation that strengthen ecological networks across British Columbia. The program not only helps restore and enhance green spaces in local communities, but also ensures the right species are planted in the right places—especially near power lines—to maintain public safety and protect electrical infrastructure.
The From the Ground Up – Safe Healthy Communities for ALL Program supports the province’s commitment to build safe, healthy communities where individuals, children, youth and families can thrive. 3 streams are funded: Community Renewal Initiatives Stream, Community Spaces Stream and Healthy, Safe, Connected Children and Youth Stream.
